RIP Nomoto-san of Bear Model. I met him in 2008 and he was kind enough to drive us to the original Tsuburaya Production studios just before it shut down. We got to see props and even stand on the stage where the original Ultraman was filmed. Our Kikaida figure was sculpted by Nomoto-san too. He went on to sculpt hundreds of figures for his company and Medicom. While sad news he leaves a great legacy of Japanese toy sofubi creativity. #bearmodel #kaiju #monstermaker
