Besides attending Monster Palooza ( my current favorite con ), had to stop by for our annual Disneyland adventure 😉 Hard to believe I’ve been coming here for 51 years now (!!)
Next week, April 10th is the online only Kaiju Nyagira event right here on this site. I’ll be posting preview pics in the coming days. Basically I’ll post them up on April 10th for a first come, first served basis. Check out instagram under #Nyagira for artists previews as well !
Above is the Max Boy sculpt by Makino-san of TTToys, which I think captures not only the spirit of Max, but also pays homage to Japanese mascot figures like Sony Boy 😉 Sculpt is based on a sketch I provided.
Once again, Javier Jimenez provided a killer header card design as well. Currently the figure is at the iron molds factory and we should have test shots any day now. From there, paint masks and once those are done we can go into production ! Probably looking at late April or early May release ..I’ll post more updates here.. or follow my Instagram feed for more peeks !
Up for sale tomorrow, is the latest Fish Kaiju Kibunadon created by artist Teresa Chiba ! Check out more of Teresa’s work here: http://p-genmu.com

My custom Hello Kitty Kaiju custom/sculpt is in the JANM book, “Exploring the Supercute World of Hello Kitty”. Only available from their store or online : http://janmstore.com/collections/hellokitty/products/exhibition-catalogue-hello-exploring-the-supercute-world-of-hello-kitty
The exhibition has been extended thru May 2015 as well !
Javier Jimenez has just started his IndieGoGo campaign to make his original character, Wananeko, into a Japanese made Sofubi ! It’s only been 24hrs and it’s 78% funded !
Javier, is a super talented artist from Spain whose love of Toys & Japanese culture really comes thru in this project. On a more personal note, Javier is a hard worker and good guy. He’s one of a handful of new Kaiju artists on the scene now that represent the future of indie Kaiju.
He still needs your help so follow this link:
and help him out if you can. Meow !
