Be sure and check out the custom Dragon Boy I did over at artist Martin Hsu booth 4530 at SDCC ๐

Many thanks to Joe, Kirby and the Rotofugi crew, once again I will have some customs for sale at their booth – #5248 ! There’s only one of each (these are one of a kind !) and prices are as follows:
Clear Eyezon (with guts) will be available for $435, while the newer style custom Kaiju Eyezon will be $350. A glow in the dark Saikobi is $375, and finally, a mini Kaiju Tripus will be available for $135. All prices are sales tax included.
Let me say, that Joe, Kirby & Whitney are hands down my favorite store/gallery but more importantly, just really good people. If only other “toy” folks and artists I deal with were like this, well, the toy world would be perfect ๐ Please take the time to stop by their booth and buy something (doesn’t have to be my customs) to show your support.
While I won’t be at this years SDCC, we’re working on something for later this yearย ๐
Here’s the first colorway of our brand new Gacha-Maxx series 1 figures !
Sorry for my awful pics, the color is like in this group shot .. but at least you can see how cool these x10 different characters are ! Sizes range from about 2.5 inches to 4 inches tall.

Ok, so here’s the details on them. These are not sold in sets, but randomly. The reason for this, is in Japan, they are only sold in actual Gachapon machines via OneUp store, Dai Kaiju Salon Bar, and various Japan toy events via Max Toys. So to be fair to those fans that have to buy them in that manner we are doing our best to replicate that. There are a total of x10 different designs ( as you see below ). When you order, you are simply ordering how many you want, but we will fill them randomly ( that word again ! ) So you may get the same figure or not. Each comes in a gacha ball with insert. Yay !

Punch the Gorilla

Smo-Girl

Cyclopean Cat

One Eyezon

Gator Sub

Hoots ( owl kaiju )

Cyclopus

Butch the platypus

These stunning, hand crafted custom Kaiju Negoras will be on sale in our Max Toy web store this Wednesday, April 27th, 2016.ย Each one is a unique character from artist Heather Hyatt ! Pictures really don’t do these justice .. the work is layered and awesome in hand.
Here’s a better description of the figures/ process from the Spanky Stokes web site (ย http://www.spankystokes.com/2016/04/heather-hyatt-x-max-toy-co-forest.html )
These Negoras represent three seasons. “Aki”, “Natsu”, and “Haru” are ‘Autumn’, ‘Summer’, and ‘Spring’ in Japanese respectively. They are forest spirit guardians, Yokai really, and Heather’s work is mainly nature and/or fantasy related, whimsical usually… so the mix of nature with bright color palettes is very fitting! The main work is handpainted acrylic vs the usual airbrush treatment seen on sofubi.
The eyes are inlaid silkscreened Japanese paper called chiyogami. The figures are silky matte sealed, all except the eyes which are glazed. Heather used epoxy clay around the eyes as well as the other small sculptural elements. Tiny, less than 1mm colored glass pearls are set into the clay on all of the figures in various places. The little Kodamas are also made from epoxy clay, given a light acrylic paint treatment with a little gem, and matte sealed. Kodamas, being Japanese tree spirits, Heather felt were a natural companion for these Negoras.
