astroboy_web

Here’s my Astro Boy painting for the Gallery Nucleus show, Official Tezuka 70th / Unico 40th Celebration art show, co-curated by Chogrin !

More details here, plus get on their email preview list, looks like some very cool pieces πŸ˜‰

My work is airbrushed and hand painted acrylics on illustration board. About 11×14 inches. Original art for sale only, sorry no prints πŸ˜‰ My concept was simple, showing Astro Boy three ways, Mecha guts, Normal outward appearance and a spacey Galaxy lookΒ  πŸ˜‰ Anyways, always glad to flex my art side of my brain from time to time… and it’s not a Cat ! ;-P

you can transform Tripus by gently heating the head, popping off the eye and turning head over, plugging it back into the body and replacing eye into the open hole. Really cool way to make him look different !trisculpt72

Above is the test shot in vinyl (left side) and the original sculpt by Pico Pico (right side)
